Commission Disclosure
Last updated: 3 July 2026
We believe you should know exactly how we're paid before you agree to anything. This page sets that out in full.
Who pays us
ClearPath Energy (a trading name of 110 Telecoms Limited, company no. 09061408) is remunerated by energy suppliers, not by our customers. When you switch supplier through us, the supplier pays us a commission as part of their normal cost of acquiring your business.
How the commission works
Commission is typically built into the unit rate (pence per kWh) you're quoted, and is paid to us by the supplier over the life of your contract — not as a one-off payment or separate invoice. This is standard practice across the UK business energy broker market.
How much we're paid
The exact commission amount varies by supplier, contract length and the size of your energy usage. Because of this, we can't state a single fixed figure here — but we will always tell you the specific commission that applies to your quote, in writing, before you agree to any contract. You are never asked to sign anything without seeing this figure first.
Does commission affect your rate?
We compare deals across our full supplier panel and present you with the most competitive options we find — commission levels do not determine which supplier or deal we recommend to you. Our aim is the best available rate for your business; the commission is simply how that transaction is funded on the supplier side.
Our independence
We're not tied to any single supplier and don't receive preferential treatment for recommending one over another. We're required to act in your interests when we compare the market, in line with Ofgem's expectations of energy brokers and third-party intermediaries.
